Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

Relic Rush (the "Game") is operated by Fun Based Games Ltd. ("Fun Based Games", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Fun Based Games covering your use of the Game at relicrush.com, including single-player, local hot-seat and online multiplayer modes, player accounts, and the in-game chat.

By playing the Game or creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

2. Who may play

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use online multiplayer and chat. If you are under 13, you may only play the single-player and local modes with a parent or guardian's permission, and must not create an account.
• If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You must not use the Game if you have previously been banned from it, or if using it is illegal where you live.

3. Your account

Online multiplayer requires a free account, which consists of a username and a password. Guests can play single-player and local modes without an account.

• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
• One person per account. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account, and do not create additional accounts to evade a ban or restriction.
• Your username is shown to other players. It must follow the Community Guidelines: no impersonation, no offensive or misleading names. We may rename or reclaim usernames that break these rules.
• You may stop using the Game at any time. To delete your account, email us at the address in section 14 — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

4. Your licence to play

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play the Game in your web browser (including as an installed web app) for your own non-commercial entertainment. All other rights are reserved.

5. Rules of play

The Game is a race, and it only works if everyone plays it as intended. You agree that you will not:

• Cheat. Do not use bots, scripts, macros, modified clients, or any tool that automates play or gives you information or abilities the Game does not provide.
• Exploit. If you find a bug that gives an advantage, please report it to us rather than using it. Deliberately abusing bugs, desynchronising a match, or tampering with game state or network messages is prohibited.
• Attack the service. Do not probe, scan, overload, or interfere with our servers, bypass access controls, or access other players' accounts or data.
• Harass anyone. Follow the Community Guidelines in chat and in your username. No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, spam, or sharing anyone's personal information.
• Misuse the Game commercially. Do not sell access, accounts, or in-game advantage, and do not scrape, copy, or redistribute the Game or its content except as allowed by law.
• Break the law. Do not use the Game for anything unlawful.

6. Your content

The Game lets you choose a username and send chat messages ("Your Content"). You keep any rights you have in Your Content. By submitting it you grant Fun Based Games a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, transmit and moderate it as needed to run the Game, including showing it to other players and keeping chat history for moderation.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm it does not infringe anyone's rights or break these Terms. We do not review everything players post, but we may remove or hide any content, and restrict any account, at our discretion and without notice if we believe it breaches these Terms or is harmful.

7. Our content and intellectual property

The Game — including its name, logo, code, rules, board and card designs, artwork, 3D models, sound and text — is owned by Fun Based Games Ltd. or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Some music and software components are licensed from third parties; they are listed on the Credits page and remain subject to their own licences.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the Game except where the law expressly allows it or we have given written permission. Sharing screenshots, streams and videos of your own play is welcome.

If you believe content in the Game infringes your copyright, email us at the address in section 14 with enough detail for us to identify and assess the material.

8. Free to play, and changes to the Game

The Game is currently free, with no purchases, advertising, or virtual currency. If we ever introduce paid features we will update these Terms and tell you clearly before you are charged anything.

The Game is actively developed. We may add, change, or remove features, rules, cards, boards, or modes at any time, and we may suspend or discontinue the Game (in whole or in part) with or without notice. Online play depends on our servers and your internet connection; matches may be interrupted, and we do not guarantee that saved games, progress, or chat history will be preserved.

9. Suspension and termination

We may warn you, mute you, restrict features, temporarily suspend, or permanently ban your account if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or where required by law. Serious breaches (for example cheating in online matches, harassment, or attacks on the service) may result in an immediate permanent ban. Where practical we will tell you the reason, and you may ask us to review a decision by email.

Sections 6, 7, and 10 to 14 continue to apply after your account is closed.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of bugs, or that any defects will be fixed. You use the Game at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fun Based Games and its directors, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, goodwill or profits, arising from or related to the Game or these Terms, however caused. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Game will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently nothing, as the Game is free) and US$50.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Fun Based Games for any losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from a third-party claim caused by Your Content or by your breach of these Terms or the law, to the extent permitted where you live.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel. If you are a consumer in a country whose laws give you the right to bring claims at home, or to rely on that country's mandatory consumer protections, nothing in this section takes those rights away.

14. Changes to these Terms, and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the Game or on this page before they take effect; continuing to play after that means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
