Community Guidelines
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Relic Rush is a race between rivals — you will block, out-manoeuvre and steal from each other, and that is the point. These guidelines keep the rivalry on the board. They apply to everything you do in online multiplayer: the lobby, game rooms, chat, and your username. They form part of our Terms of Service.
Be a good rival
- Play to the end. Leaving a match mid-way spoils it for everyone. If you have to go, say so in chat.
- Trash talk is fine; cruelty is not. Gloating over a well-timed Volcano is part of the fun. Attacking a person is not.
- Welcome new players. Everyone loses their first Champion to a Guardian. A quick tip does more for the community than a snide remark.
Chat rules
Do not post or send:
- Harassment, threats, or bullying of any player, including pile-ons and "jokes" that single someone out.
- Hate speech — anything that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Sexual or graphic content, including in usernames. Younger players are here too.
- Personal information — yours or anyone else's: real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, social handles, or photos. This includes asking other players for theirs.
- Spam, advertising, or links to other sites, referral schemes, or scams.
- Impersonation of other players, moderators, or Fun Based Games staff.
- Anything illegal where you or the recipient live.
Usernames
Your username is how everyone knows you, so the chat rules apply to it too. Names that are offensive, sexual, hateful, impersonate someone, or contain personal information or web addresses may be renamed or removed without notice.
Fair play
- No cheating. No bots, scripts, macros, modified clients, or tools that automate play or reveal hidden information.
- No exploits. If you find a bug that gives an advantage — a spell that fires twice, a move the rules should block — report it to us instead of using it. Deliberately desynchronising a match or tampering with game state is a bannable offence.
- No collusion in a race. Coordinating with another player to guarantee a result against a third player is against the spirit of the game. (Team modes are the exception — that is what they are for.)
- One person, one account. Do not create extra accounts to dodge a restriction or to manipulate matches.
Reporting a problem
If someone breaks these rules, email contact@funbasedgames.com with:
- the other player's username,
- the room code (if it happened in a game) or "lobby",
- roughly when it happened, and
- a screenshot if you have one.
Chat history is retained for moderation, so we can usually verify a report even without a screenshot. We will not tell the reported player who reported them.
Enforcement
Depending on how serious a breach is and whether it has happened before, we may:
- Warn you;
- Rename your account or remove content;
- Restrict or mute your chat;
- Temporarily suspend your account;
- Permanently ban your account — and, for cheating, service attacks, or serious harassment, we may do this immediately without earlier steps.
If you think a decision was wrong, reply to the notice or email us. We will look at it again with fresh eyes, and tell you the outcome.
Thanks for helping keep the race fun. See you at the Oracle.
